Her skill in capturing the essence and drama of nature reflect in her deep reverence for the remote corners of the landscapes she is able to capture and connect her to the power and beauty of her world.

Priscilla Tacheney, an aspiring photographer was born and raised on the Navajo Reservation and currently is employed as a graphic designer. She prides herself on being self taught and states, "I feel it is important for me to develop my own way of expressing my work."

Priscilla's photography journey began with a renewed enthusiasm and appreciation while taking a digital photography course at the local college. Her passion was rekindled and she picked up a camera and decided to pursue her dream.

She has been a professional landscape photographer for over four years and a professional portrait photographer for three years. She states, "While I still enjoy nature and landscape work, I often seek to incorporate a human subject in an image." As a member of the Navajo (Dine) Nation she also felt it important to capture images of her people while documenting culture images that hold meaning to her and to the people in her portraits.

Her most rewarding aspect of her work is the time spent in her field, in search of new locations and new images to capture. Priscilla states that she finds it gratifying to capture the spirit of a person while at their best as well as creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
